Symbology of the Image

The symbol of the Ouroboros is the snake (or lizard or dragon) eating its own tail. The ouroboros-snake is associated with the circle of life and death, birth and re-birth, the idea that all-is-one, masculinity and femininity (depending on the cultural context), the tarot suit of cups, water, emotions, heart, sexuality, body, earth, malkuth, the earth.

Fire is spirit, soul, intellect, passion, the mind, the tarot suit of swords, the air. Together they unite the ideas that this list is based on. The synthesis of heart and soul, body and mind, male and female.
